Alona Voronova is an associate in Murtha Cullina's Immigration Law practice. She works with a diverse range of clients on various matters, including asylum applications, Temporary Protected Status (TPS), humanitarian parole, work authorizations and other forms of immigration relief. As a first-generation immigrant, Alona understands firsthand the challenges and complexities of navigating the U.S. immigration system. 

In 2023, Alona was a summer associate in Murtha's Hartford office and gained hands-on experience with asylum applications, immigration intake interviews and the preparation of case files. Additionally, she conducted legal research and assisted with various tasks related to immigration law, supporting clients through immigration proceedings.

Alona has been recognized by the Association of American Law Schools for her commitment to providing pro bono aid to clients. In law school, she completed more than 100 hours of pro bono work through the Pro Bono Pledge Program, focusing on immigrant and refugee assistance. Alona is deeply committed to advocating for the rights of immigrants and ensuring that everyone has access to knowledgeable and compassionate legal representation.
