Murtha Cullina LLP is pleased to announce new Partners and Counsel.  As of January 1, 2019, Attorneys Patricia L. Boye-Williams, Marilyn B. Fagelson and Kristen L. Zaehringer have become Partners and Catherine A. Cuggino has become Counsel.

Ms. Boye-Williams practices in the firm’s Municipal and Energy, Environmental, and Utilities Practice Groups.  She advises clients on a variety of regulatory compliance matters that arise in these practice areas and has significant experience managing environmental aspects of complex corporate and real estate transactions.  In addition, she has represented both renewable energy developers and renewable energy off-takers, including municipalities, in a variety of matters including representation before the Connecticut Siting Council. She is a former Assistant Attorney General at the Connecticut Office of the Attorney General.  Ms. Boye-Williams is on the Farmington Town Council and is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and the American Bar Association.  She received her B.S. from Cornell University and her J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law.

Ms. Fagelson is the Chair of the Firm’s Insurance Recovery Practice Group.  She works principally on complex commercial litigation, insurance coverage on behalf of policyholders, and appellate practice.  She has represented policyholders seeking coverage for claims involving a variety of subject areas including asbestos and environmental injuries, legal malpractice, sexual abuse, health care, property damage, products liability, automobile accidents, unfair trade practices and antitrust.  Ms. Fagelson is a member of the Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee of the American Bar Association and she has held the positions of Chair (2016-2018), Vice Chair and Treasurer of the Insurance Section of the Connecticut Bar Association.  She received her B.A. from Wesleyan University and her J.D. from Hofstra University.

Ms. Zaehringer is a member of the Firm’s Litigation Department.  She represents clients in the areas of commercial litigation, professional malpractice, employment litigation, and local counsel services. She regularly represents clients in state and federal court and before various administrative agencies including the state and federal equal employment opportunity commissions and departments of labor.  She serves on the District of Connecticut Federal Grievance Committee and the Local Civil Rules Advisory Committee.  Ms. Zaehringer holds an AV® Preeminent Peer Rating from Martindale-Hubbell and is a co-chair of the Connecticut Bar Association Federal Practice Section. In 2015, she was named one of Fairfield County’s Top 40 business people under the age of 40. She received her B.A. from George Washington University and her J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law.

Ms. Cuggino is a member of the Firm’s Business and Finance Department and the Real Estate Practice Group.  She represents buyers, sellers and lenders in commercial real estate and development transactions, real estate redevelopment and institutional finance and commercial lending.  She also assists clients with land use and zoning transactions, leasing negotiations and dispute resolution.  She represents developers and retailers in preparing and filing land use applications before Connecticut boards and commissions.  Ms. Cuggino is the Vice Chair of the Connecticut Bar Association Commercial Finance Section Executive Committee. She received her B.A. from University of Connecticut and her J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law.
