On October 24, the Connecticut Bar Association's Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Sections will host the 7th Annual Connecticut Bankruptcy Conference. Bankruptcy partner Taruna Garg co-chairs the 2024 Connecticut Bankruptcy Conference Organizing Committee with Joanna M. Kornafel (Green & Sklarz LLC).
The conference will feature William J. Rochelle from the American Bankruptcy Institute and in-depth programming on timely and cutting-edge topics in commercial and consumer bankruptcy law presented by top practitioners and regional judges.
Taruna will provide welcoming remarks to start the program, which will be comprised of sessions on the following topics:
• The state of the court
• Perspectives from bankruptcy judges in the northeast
• Mediation in bankruptcy proceedings
• State tax claims in bankruptcy proceedings
• Ethics
This conference provides 7.00 CLE credits (5.5 General; 1.5 Ethics) for Connecticut and 5.75 CLE credits (4.25 AOP; 1.5 Ethics) for New York.
