Murtha Cullina is pleased to announce that it has joined the American Property Tax Counsel (APTC) as the representative firm for the state of Connecticut. APTC is the only organization of law firms providing major portfolio owners with one source for all their property tax reporting and tax reduction needs.

Nicholas W. Vitti Jr. and Joseph D. Szerejko serve as Murtha Cullina’s representatives for APTC.  Nick, chair of Murtha Cullina’s Real Estate practice, is a seasoned commercial real estate and land use development lawyer. He has represented commercial property owners in a variety of matters, including extensive experience in real property tax advice and appeals. Nick’s clients range from nationally known retailers, communications and self-storage companies to businesses, restaurants, private clubs and developers. Joe is a litigator who represents corporations, individuals, municipalities and government officials in matters ranging from real estate, land use and zoning to property tax and foreclosure matters.

The APTC is a unique organization in its longevity and make up. APTC attorneys have been working together as co-counsel since 1994, and currently have over 125 attorneys across the United States and Canada serving all of the major U.S. markets. APTC’s mission is “to provide the best quality property tax service locally and nationally by understanding and addressing the needs of our clients, focusing on continually improving our substantive ability and creating an organizational culture committed to mutually supportive and responsive behavioral values.” For more information about APTC, visit https://www.aptcnet.com/.

“Murtha Cullina is proud to partner with APTC and we look forward to growing our relationships with the other representative firms across the U.S. and Canada so that we can provide valuable, single source property tax service to clients,” said Nick Vitti.
