Murtha Cullina Managing Partner Andy Corea and Harris Beach CEO Chris Jagel weighed in on law firm mergers and industry trends in an article for The Daily Record.
Included in The Daily Record's special report on Western New York's Largest Law Firms, the article covered recent law firm merger activity and touched on the upcoming combination of Murtha Cullina LLP and Harris Beach PLLC, which will take place on January 1, 2025. The combined firms will be known as Harris Beach Murtha.
“Our respective firms are eager to collaborate on a wide variety of matters across industries, and this demonstrated enthusiasm is just a glimpse of what is to come for Harris Beach Murtha: the highest quality legal services, supported by a bigger talent pool, expanded breadth of services, and broader geographic scope to meet our clients’ ever-evolving needs," Andy noted.
"In our particular case, first and foremost, what we are looking to is grow because we believe by doing so, we will be able to better serve our existing clients and will be more attractive to prospective clients,” Chris said of the combination. “Increasing capability with more lawyers in different specialties, and lawyers in more locations, allows the firm to provide the services clients are looking for.”
