Murtha Cullina LLP Partner Taruna Garg recently received the “Rising Star” award from the Connecticut Bar Association’s (CBA) Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section. This annual award is given to an attorney who demonstrates meaningful participation in section activities and meetings.
Ms. Garg has been consistently involved in the CBA Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section since her earliest days as an attorney admitted to practice in Connecticut. She has volunteered to a number of bar activities, including serving as a participant in a mock negotiation seminar at Quinnipiac Law School, as well as presenting annual updates in business bankruptcy law at the Connecticut Legal Conference. Since 2020, she has served as the Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section Delegate on the CBA’s House of Delegates.
“Taruna has a great future as a bar leader in Connecticut, as emblemized by her strong work ethic and cheerful willingness to serve in any capacity to advance the cause and mission of our section,” said Section Executive Committee Member Thomas J. Sansone of the CBA Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section.
Ms. Garg is a commercial litigation attorney practicing in the areas of business litigation, bankruptcy, and creditors’ rights in New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts. Ms. Garg received her J.D. from the Boston University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Boston University.
