NEW HAVEN, CT (June 29, 2018)…Murtha Cullina LLP Partner Alfred E. Smith, Jr. was recently elected as Chair of the New Reach Board of Directors. His one-year term will begin on July 1, 2018.
New Reach provides a full spectrum of housing services that meet the needs of at-risk families, youth, and individuals. They serve over 2,750 Connecticut residents each year including over 1,500 children. Mr. Smith has been on the New Reach Board of Directors since 2013. He previously served as the Board Secretary and the Chair of the Governance Committee.
Mr. Smith is currently the Chair of the Murtha Cullina Regulatory Department. He is a member of the Municipal, Land Use and Environmental Practice Groups. Additionally, he was the Managing Partner of Murtha Cullina from 2003 through 2008. Mr. Smith earned his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and his law degree from the University of Connecticut Law School.
