Effective January 1, 2022, Murtha Cullina LLP has promoted attorneys Jodie L. Driscoll and Jonathan M. Horne to Partner and Juliana García-Uribe to Counsel.
Ms. Driscoll is a member of the Business and Finance Department. She represents clients in the areas of Commercial Real Estate and Banking, as well as Affordable Housing and Municipal Law. Ms. Driscoll has extensive experience in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including financing, acquisitions, dispositions, leasing and development. She is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers and the Real Estate Finance Association. In 2015, Ms. Driscoll was recognized by the Connecticut Law Tribune as a “New Leader of the Law.” She received her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law and her Bachelor’s degree from Providence College.
Mr. Horne is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department and Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Group. In his bankruptcy and restructuring practice, Mr. Horne represents businesses, lenders, creditors, trustees and individuals in all aspects of the bankruptcy and non-bankruptcy restructuring and workout process. In his litigation practice, he represents clients in a wide range of complex business cases, including director and officer liability claims, fraudulent transfer litigation and other complex commercial disputes. From 2019 to 2021, Mr. Horne has been listed as an "Associate to Watch" in the area of Bankruptcy/Restructuring law by Chambers USA. He has also been recognized as a Rising Star by Massachusetts Super Lawyers since 2016. Mr. Horne received his J.D. from St. John's University School of Law and his B.A. from Wabash College.
Ms. García-Uribe is a member of the Immigration Practice Group. She represents individuals and businesses with various immigration matters, including assisting clients with obtaining immigrant and nonimmigrant visas abroad and helping businesses navigate the Department of Labor's PERM Labor Certification process. Ms. García-Uribe often counsels clients on citizenship and adjustment of status before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and on waivers of inadmissibility. She is a member of American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and serves on AILA’s Case Assistance Committee. She is listed in Best Lawyers in America as “One to Watch” in the area of Immigration Law. Ms. García-Uribe received her J.D. from DePaul University School of Law and her B.A. from University of Chicago.
