Murtha Cullina LLP has named Mark G. DeGiacomo the Chair of the firm’s Litigation Department.
Mr. DeGiacomo has been a Partner in the firm’s Litigation Department since 1986. He is a Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy trustee. He regularly represents clients in bankruptcy cases and commercial litigation matters. He has litigated dozens of cases in the Massachusetts bankruptcy courts and represented numerous clients in appeals brought before the U.S. District Court, the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. DeGiacomo’s litigation experience also includes director and officer cases, attorney malpractice, accountant malpractice and contract and construction matters. He previously served on the Firm’s Executive Committee.
Mr. DeGiacomo is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association Litigation Section, the Boston Bar Association Bankruptcy Section, the American Bankruptcy Institute and the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees. He received his B.S. from Boston College and his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School.
