On September 26, partners Ed Spinella and Julia Boisvert will speak at the TANGO 2024 Building Bridges Annual Nonprofit Conference.
Alongside partners Bryn Goodman and Jacqueline Motyl from Fox Rothschild, Ed and Julia will present, “Real World Strategies to Navigate the Constantly Shifting Nonprofit Legal Landscape.” The panel will discuss the latest trends and issues impacting nonprofit organizations. Topics within this session will include executive compensation, employees and unions, activities during an election year and diversity-based scholarships. The panel discussion will conclude with a brief Q&A for attendees.
Ed is chair of the firm’s Tax-Exempt Organizations practice and co-chair of the Education practice. He is also a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and the Business Law, Privately Owned Businesses and Health Care practices. Ed serves as general counsel to a diverse array of tax-exempt organizations including start-up public charities, social service providers, other health care organizations, private foundations, social clubs and trade associations.
Julia is a member of the firm’s Health Care and Tax-Exempt Organizations practices. She represents for-profit and nonprofit providers, including hospitals, social services providers, physicians and the full spectrum of tax-exempt entities on regulatory, corporate and business matters. For clients in the nonprofit sector, she regularly assists with tax exemption filings, board management issues, operational matters, charitable giving and the development of social enterprises.
