Hartford, CT (January 2, 2020)…Murtha Cullina LLP has promoted Attorneys Elizabeth A. Galletta, James W. McLaughlin and Lisa P. Staron to Partner. The Firm has also promoted Robert A. Heinimann, Jr. to Counsel.
Ms. Galletta is a member of the Firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. She represents clients from a variety of industries in all aspects of intellectual property law. Her experience includes patent application preparation, prosecution, appeals and post grant proceedings. She has extensive experience with clients in the chemical, biological and pharmaceutical arts. In addition, Elizabeth also counsels clients in the protection of trade secrets, trademarks and copyrights. Ms. Galletta received her J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law and her B.S. from Cedar Crest College.
Mr. McLaughlin is a member of the Firm’s Business & Finance Department. He provides legal advice to clients in a wide range of corporate and commercial transactions, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital transactions, public and private capital raising, securities law compliance, and corporate governance matters. Mr. McLaughlin’s practice spans the entire life cycle of a company, with in-depth experience advising new start-ups, emerging companies, and mature companies seeking liquidity through a public offering or sale. Mr. McLaughlin received his J.D. from Duke University School of Law and his A.B. from Georgetown University.
Ms. Staron is a member of the Firm’s Trusts and Estates Department. Her practice includes estate, tax, and business succession planning, and estate and trust administration. She also has significant experience representing fiduciaries and beneficiaries in complex trust and estates litigation, including will contests, trustee surcharge and removal litigation, contested accountings, contested conservatorships and guardian proceedings, and trust and will construction actions. In addition, she has considerable experience with alternative dispute resolution procedures, including mediation and arbitration. Ms. Staron received her J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Connecticut.
Mr. Heinimann is also a member of the Trusts and Estates Department. He is responsible for the development and implementation of estate plans for clients. His practice includes estate and trust administration, probate proceedings, tax planning and business succession planning. Mr. Heinimann has experience in conservatorship proceedings in Connecticut Probate Districts, as well as the Title XIX application process. He also has experience counseling clients in contested trusts and estates matters. Mr. Heinimann received his J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law and his B.A. from College of the Holy Cross.
